A solid shaft is a shaft without a hollow structure, whose entire cross-section is solid and has no hollow parts.
Features
Strength and stiffness: Since the solid shaft has no hollow parts, it has high strength and rigidity. This enables solid shafts to withstand high torques and loads, as well as resist deformation and deflection.
Simple Structure: Solid shafts are relatively simple in construction, consisting of one continuous solid piece of material with no complicated internal structures or connections. This makes solid shafts relatively easy to manufacture and install.
Scope Of Application: Solid shafts are generally suitable for applications that require less torque and power transmission, such as some light machinery equipment, industrial transmission devices, etc.
Weight And Cost: A solid axle can be heavier compared to other types of axles because it does not have hollow sections to reduce weight. In addition, the manufacturing cost of the solid shaft is relatively low, because its structure is simple and does not require additional machining operations.
